Boil a handful of fresh curry leaves in a tablespoon of coconut oil. Strain the oil and apply it into your hair and leave it for 30-40 minutes before rinsing off. Try to do it at least once or twice a week.

Curry leaves believed to hold several medicinal properties are used extensively in South Indian and Sri Lankan cooking.

Henna works wonder for your hair – from colouring your hair to conditioning your lustrous locks. The natural properties of henna promote hair growth. Regular use of henna on hair also cures dandruff and prevents hair fall.

Just boil some henna leaves in mustard or coconut oil until the leaves become charred. Strain the oil and apply it into your hair, leave it for 30-40 minutes and rinse off. You can also make henna paste at home by mixing little black tea water and henna powder. Let the mixture soak for over 6-7 hours. Now apply the paste on hair and let it sit for 1-3 hours before washing your hair using a mild shampoo.

Lemon juice and coconut oil
Mix coconut oil with lemon juice and apply it into your hair using your fingertips and massage it into your scalp. Leave it for at least an hour before rinsing off with a shampoo.

Amla juice and almond oil
Try massaging your scalp at least once or twice a week using amla juice, almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice to prevent premature hair greying.

Black tea
Boil tea leaves and cool it down. Strain the tea water and apply it into the scalp. Leave it for an hour and rinse with cold water without the use of shampoo. This is an effective home remedy for treating premature greying of hair.
